Birds
If you enjoy watching birds, be sure to take your binoculars
with you! The area around Kas na Nort is a bird’s paradise. Around sunset, the owls –
or ‘palabrua’s’ as they are called in Curaçao - appear, floating majestically along
the cliff at eye level. In the daytime, groups of green parakeets fly off and on with
a great deal of hullabaloo. Hummingbirds are attracted by the flowers in the garden.
Bananaquit, Oriole, Andes Sparrow, Mockingbird and little Mòfi are also frequent visitors
to the garden. Encounters with many beautiful birds, for example Flamingo, and various gulls,
egrets and herons are also possible in other parts of the island.
